WASEL transports bridge sectionsfrom the Czech Republic to Lüdenscheid (North Rhine-Westphalia)

Precision Across 1,100 Kilometers: Heavy load transport from the Czech Republic to Lüdenscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia.

September 2025: Last week, our team successfully transported two massive bridge sections from the Czech Republic to Lüdenscheid.

The steel structures weighed a total of 57 tonnes, measuring around 22 meters in length and about five meters in width.

The journey began near Ostrava, where the components were carefully loaded. From there, the route extended over roughly 1,100 kilometers to the Ramede Valley Bridge in Lüdenscheid. The transport was carried out over four consecutive nights – a logistical achievement requiring precise planning and maximum attention to detail.

On projects of this scale, every detail matters: from extensive permitting to coordination with road and bridge authorities, and down to the meticulous planning of the driving route. Only this level of preparation ensures safe and reliable execution.

This project once again demonstrates what WASEL stands for: precision, reliability, and the ability to successfully realize even the most complex heavy load transports over long distances.
