Tadano AC 45 City craneswith fully automatic lifting of luxury yachts
Düsseldorf - We relied on our Tadano AC 45 City mobile cranes with Allison fully automatic transmissions to position yachts weighing millions with millimetre precision at the world's largest water sports trade fair ‘boot’.
The narrow exhibition halls posed a particular challenge. Thanks to their compact design and the smooth power transmission provided by the Allison 3500 SP fully automatic transmission, the cranes can manoeuvre precisely even under load.

Impressive quadro lifts
During the so-called quadro lift, four cranes synchronously lift large yachts, such as the 21-tonne Contest 49 CS, and place them precisely on prepared supports.
‘Every millimetre counts here. Thanks to the torque converter gearbox, we have maximum control - without swinging movements, without stress,’ explains crane operator Dieter Morgenfrüh.
